Have known him for years and have learned so much from this man..A good friend of mine and i'm sure to many others. This would be Hillbilly.

A Medivac Helicopter has just been dispatched to airlift Hillbilly to a regional heart center. Initial word is heart attack or serious stroke. I dont know yet how serious, but they are bypassing the local hospital and going directly to Palmetto Richland. Will let you all know when I can.

It is very, very bad. He is currently on a ventilator.

The doctors have told us he will not recover. He is on total life support and a brain scan shows no function. Please say a prayer for his wife and kids as they try to cope with the difficult and heartbreaking times they have ahead.

Thanks to all for your kindness, prayers and best wishes. Nothing has changed. He is still on life support, though the doctors assessment of the situation has not changed. We realize that we are going to have to let him go, but his wife wants to hold on anything until their son comes in from Colorado.

an update..this was posted last night

Today is Hillbillys wifes birthday, and tomorrow their wedding anniversary. I was told today that she couldnt bear to remove life support on their anniversary . All have agreed that removing it is the right thing to do, and I am told that tomorrow night that will happen.
